Save an Instagram Reel from its public link
Copy the link to the Reel itself, usually an instagram.com/reel/... address. A public Instagram video post may also use an instagram.com/p/... address. A profile URL points to an account and cannot identify the specific video you want to save.
Willer Downloader prepares a video file, rather than saving the Instagram page or a screen recording. You do not sign in to Instagram through this tool. Reels from private accounts, Stories and photo carousels are not promised by this Reels downloader.
Save your video
- Open the Reel in Instagram and copy its link from the share options.
- Press Paste above. The preview identifies the video before you save it.
- Press Download when ready, then select your device's save option.

Common questions
Can I save my own Instagram Reels?
Yes, when the Reel is public and accessible to the service. Paste the individual Reel link. For someone else's work, make sure you have the rights or permission to save it.
Will the downloaded Reel include audio?
The MP4 includes audio when audio is present in the accessible source. If Instagram provides a muted clip or the source has no audio, the downloader cannot restore a missing soundtrack.
Why does a public Reel sometimes fail?
Instagram can require a login or temporarily limit access to a Reel. Being able to view it in your own Instagram app does not guarantee that it is accessible to the service. Check that you copied a Reel or video-post link, rather than a profile link.
Can I choose 1080p or 4K?
The service prepares an available video version automatically. Its resolution depends on what Instagram exposes for that post. It does not create extra detail or guarantee an original upload's resolution.
